Hi Julien,

From an SPDX License List matching standpoint (see: http://spdx.org/spdx-license-list/matching-guidelines ) the cURL license is indeed a cross between ICU (http://spdx.org/licenses/ICU.html) and ISC (http://spdx.org/licenses/ISC.html)
It has the same warranty and final clause re: advertising) of ICU, but the same grant clause of ISC.

According to the SPDX specification, one would then consider this as not on the SPDX License List and refer to it as per section 5 of the specification (LicenseRef-cURL, for example).

this makes me think it might be good to simply add cURL to the SPDX License List as it’s own entry to avoid such confusion. I’m copying this over to the SPDX legal mailing list, so that it will get raised as a topic there.

Are the Copyright headers not to be taken in consideration in this case?
