Good catch.  According to our guidelines and explanations of the various fields (http://spdx.org/spdx-license-list/license-list-overview#fields) regarding “version” “v” or nothing, we have:
  • The word "version" is not spelled out; "v" or nothing is used to indicate license version (for space reasons)
I looked through most of them and it doesn’t seem like there’s a strong inclination for “version” and hence the need for using the “v”

this did cause me to realize that the links are not working to the external sites, though, so will fix that!!
